About
Acupuncture is a tried and tested system of holistic health care which has been developed over the last 2500 years in China and the Far East and is today the most widely used healing system in the world.
The Chinese and other eastern cultures have been using acupuncture to restore, promote and maintain good health for thousands of years.
Nowadays more and more people are finding this long established therapy can offer an effective solution to all manner of today’s ills.
Acupuncture is now accepted all over the world and in the UK there are currently over 2800 qualified acupuncturists registered with the British Acupuncture Council.
Many people come to acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or conditions, and some because they simply feel generally unwell. Others choose acupuncture to enhance their feeling of wellbeing.
Darren Stoyle Lic Ac Bsc(Hons) MBAcC
I studied acupuncture at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, Berkshire, where I trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and 5 Element Constitutional Acupuncture.
I find that this integrated approach offers a much deeper experience of healing as it touches all levels of being and brings about a greater degree of harmony and balance.
I am also a member of the British Acupuncture Council whose members are bound by a strict code of ethics and conduct and are professionally insured.
After receiving my BSc Hons Degree and License I then went on to set up two busy and successful clinics in Torbay and Newton Abbot.
I also enjoy developing my skills and have since further studied Acupuncture for treating sports injuries, cosmetic acupuncture, infertility and IVF.
I have also studied and trained in Reiki and Thai Massage at the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai, Thailand, one of the few institutions accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education as well as having an interest in meditation and spirituality.
I am currently studying Naad Yoga and experiencing how sound can have a healing effect with the Raj Academy of Asian Music in London.
