What is Scenar

Scenar, often referred to as “star trek” medicine, is a revolutionary healing device for treating pain and stimulating the body’s own healing abilities often with rapid long lasting results.

Originally developed by a team of Russian doctors and scientists, the Scenar was developed to overcome the specific problems of space travel and to maintain astronauts health and wellbeing without the use of medications.

Used by many world class athletes, football clubs, hospitals, doctors surgeries and emergency wards throughout the world, Scenar therapy is a non invasive treatment where a small hand held device is placed on the site of pain and other parts of the body and then sends a specific signal which stimulates specific nerves fibres, called “C” fibres, encouraging the release of chemicals and neuropeptides which activates the body’s natural healing process.

The Scenar device also measures the response from the body via a biofeedback mechanism and continuously changes the signal, so unlike other electrical devices such as TENS, the body does not become used to the signal so continues to respond to treatment.

Each treatment lasts from 40-60 minutes and is tailored made to treat your specific problem.
The number of treatments needed vary depending on the complaint but acute problems need fewer treatments and can often have dramatic effects in the reduction of pain in 3-4 sessions.
Chronic long term complaints may need more treatments due to the nature of the problem often involving general wear and tear and degeneration.
